Look What’s Blooming – September 6, 2012

Autumn Daffodils (Sternbergia lutea) are blooming in the Edith J. Carrier Arboretum!

Wow, a daffodil in September?  This flower (Sternbergia lutea) can indeed cause a double-take when driving past the patch of these on the road to the main EJC Arboretum parking lot.  So bright and cheerful!  Plan to add some to your own garden this year.  They’ll be among the bulbs offered at the upcoming EJC Fall Bulb and Plant Sale.

Opportunities to purchase bulbs and plants at the EJC Arboretum include an online bulb  sale (until Oct. 8), the Sept. 28-29 plant and bulb sale, and the Oct. 5-7 bulb sale.  Visit our website for more information.
